Michael K. Park is the Jerry & Karla Huse Endowed Professor at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where his work centers on media law and U.S. First Amendment Jurisprudence. His research centers on how disruptions sparked by political developments and advancements in communication technology compel a reexamination of—and test—First Amendment principles and values in the public sphere. Michael’s research inquiries also examine the political dimension of free speech policies in media, education and sport. He has published over a dozen scholarly publications in mass communication journals, law reviews and edited books. In addition, Michael has been a commentator for the U.S.-based NBC News and the Smerconish POTUS Politics SiriusXM.
